CIRP General Assembly 2018

Dr. Soshi attended the CIRP General Assembly 2018 held in Tokyo, Japan. The CIRP is one of the most prestigious manufacturing societies in the world.  He gave a presentation entitled “Development of a directly-driven thread whirling unit with advanced tool materials for mass-production of implantable medical parts“.

MTTRF/iAM CNC Annual Meeting 2018

The ARMS lab co-hosted the MTTRF/iAM CNC annual meeting 2018. The meeting was held on July 2 and 3rd in the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco. ARMS graduate members presented their research progress over the past one year in front of our research sponsors and renounced professors in manufacturing from all over the world.

Derek’s work has been published.

Derek’s MS research topic, entitled Analysis and optimization of bone machining for robotic orthopedic surgeries, has been published in Int J Med Robotics Comput Assist Surg. He was one of former ARMS members who received his MS degree in 2017. Great Job, Derek!

CIRP General Assembly 2017

Dr. Soshi attended the CIRP General Assembly 2017 and presented our research results about an innovative manufacturing method of plastic injection molds using a hybrid CNC machine tool. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0007850617300938

MTTRF Annual Meeting – July 6th & 7th, 2017

The annual meeting of Machine Tool Technologies Research Foundation (MTTRF) was held in San Francisco on July 6th and 7th, 2017. The ARMS lab was one of the organizers of the important annual event for MTTRF. Each lab member presented his/her research in front of our guests. It was successfully ended this year again!
