Development Engineer                                                                                                      BS: Overlin College, 2007
MS: UC Davis,2016
PhD: UC Davis, 2019

Interests in Engineering:
Additive Manufacturing, Dynamic System Modeling, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Control Systems

Current Lab Activity:
Kyle is currently developing a method to optimize part deformations and residual stress in metallic parts fabricated using Directed Energy Deposition (DED) through thermal control of the part during deposition. Previous research topics have included numerical modelling of the cutting process to assess the viability and expected surface quality of finish milling hardened cast iron using Cubic Bornonitride (CBN) inserts.
